WOW! When George said he built a fish trailer, I assumed he meant something like a fishing trailer. I never, in my wildest dreams though he would build a trailer that looked like a fish. Yep, he did. The photos are coming in as I type this... I'll post them here in a few minutes...

That's great work, George, really creative.
Please, please tell me that actually it's not as high as the door it's gonna go out, but just doesn't look it....... :worship:

That's cute! Most folks want a canned ham, but George builds a canned tuna!!! It's very interesting though. What's up in the top there, a bunk for a teenager? Good place to hide him/her!!!

thanks everyone for the questions, compliments and jokes.
i was just glad to not hear any negative comments,
i was sure everyone would think it to strange,
ive been getting some ideas off your site, thanks,
by the way, these pictures arent current, i had to temp. stop construction (so as to avoid making mistakes) i needed some time to plan and make decisions, (or i would have been tearing out and redoing)
the total body height is 8' and i know thats tall, but yes there is a sleeping berth up there, the top / roof will raise another 22" and will have window screening, there is a ladder to access this area,
there is a window with a closeable shutter on the rear wall of this berth,
the galley is of course in the rear, yet to be designed, there is a door thats the same size as the rear that lifts up to create a roof over galley, there will be 2 other doors that hinge out to create sides on galley,
shower curtain across rear when all are opened up,
there will be a 24" wide door added on other side to match existing,
there will be hinged porch floors & roofs that look like fins on both sides,
water storage in top rear recessed area (exposed) that will feed the sink and shower that will be on fold down porch, portapotty there also, both will be surrounded by shower curtain and accesible from inside or out,
2 benches with a table that will make a bed on the inside (rear)
pass thru window (24" wide) from interior (table) to galley,
two bunks in the front, bottom 24" wide, top 36" wide,
storage area recessed in nose,
guess thats enough for now, see ya,
by the way, let me say again, i have really appreciated your site,
george

i reused a pop up camping trailer frame,
i have invested 80 hours in the build to date,
this time includes time invested in demo of pop up,
(also, probably 15 hrs plus in "thinkin" time, not included)
i have spent $835.00 on materials, but roof metal was almost donated,
will sleep 4 adults and 2 kids up,
estimated total weight at completion around 13 hundred pounds (i hope)
estimated total hours to build is 160,
estimated total material cost including appliance package is 1,600.00,
(i hope)
have already been aproached by city to put in parade,
crazy huh? a fish trailer, kids love it,

George,
Have you chosen a name for it yet?
(I guess Canned Tuna didn't work, eh?)

no name yet,
i have a 1963 glasspar cuddy cabin cruiser named wayward son,
been thinking i would give it a name that would tie in with that,
nothing has came to mind yet,

i have purchased a bumper sticker for it,
(by the way, the very first sticker i will have put on anything)

"dont worry, it only seems kinky the first time"

i just remembered something funny,
i did the majority of the construction shown in pictures in a warehouse,
(it was very cold here in tn)
lighting in warehouse wasnt that great,
i spent a lot of time on 6' tall step ladder,
the camper seemed huge,
i hooked it up and pulled it out into the sunshine,
and it srunk to half the size it was inside of warehouse,
i swear this appeared to happen,
there were 6 people there who all said the same thing,
funny, but true,
