My "Teardroplet"

I'm not ready to build a full teardrop, so I'm thinking of building a camp kitchen/storage trailer. I found a 40" x 48" trailer, and designed a tiny "teardroplet" to fit. Images are to scale.

Do you need a matching tow vehicle ?

Ah, but you could extend the trailer out 24" and build some foot room under the galley and then, guess what? You got a place to sleep.. albeit catty corner..

But regardless, that s a cool little design.

A little pacwoman!!!! Hilarious. But I think I'll stick with a basic stain and varnish......

Yeah, but as I'm going to try to build this myself (doing it with my husband would be akin to hanging wallpaper together), I want it simple, simple, simple. I have no woodworking skills past junior high woodshop.

That's more than a lot of us had before we started building our teardrops. A bit of advise - from someone who didn't take this advise from the board - keep the concept of teardrop time in mind. Enjoy the build and don't feel rushed.

I never saw this post go by ........

Here is my attempt at a 3'6 wide by 6' long chuckwagon with
four 18 x 18 x 4' storage lockers and a mini galley.

It is also built on a 40 x 48 HF trailer frame.

It's a tall motorcycle trailer.

If you're not making it a sleeper, you could make it a full chuck wagon with everything needed for cooking, food plus all the camping gear.

 And here's a wilder idea: A slide out the front for your legs IF you ever do have to sleep in it.
