Anyone ever make, or see, a gull-wing door on a tear?

Gull wing doors. Showy, sort of neat, forever linked with "Back to the Future".

Ever see one or have one on a tear?

Pro:
-If you sat on your tear entrance it would cover you from sun and rain.
-it would certainly be unique.

Con:
-It would be a constant thing to duck and dodge.
-The rain gutter would have to be pretty good.
-Hinges might be tricky.

Just playing around with ideas.
Thoughts?

Most of us have them, in the form of the galley hatch where you are not likely to meet obstructions. Some camp sites are a bit narrow and you could encounter problems other that the ones you mention, certainly in parking lots.
There have been those to use them, one design being the Roswell.

There was one made by American Tear I believe that had them on both sides and one on the back. Check the forsale listings from about a month or so back. The one that was listed there is an offroad one that was totally rebuilt and is very unique.

Actually found in hall of fame:

I hinged our door at the top.
It just looked right on our latest "teardrop".
I love the look but it is a little more difficult to open and close compared to a traditional door.

I seem to recall one at the LCG gathering two years ago; but the grey matter isn't quite what it used to be. If I can find my pics from that gathering, I'll know if it was or wasn't there. :?
