Hi Perttu,

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Just looking at your latest pic, it struck me - that it also looks
somewhat like a pelican with an open beak. Do they have
pelicans that far north?, Or are they just a warm climate bird, I wonder?

Either whale or pelican, why not make a fish [or two] cutout and have
it [them] overlap the side under the window area, like they are it's catch
caught in the whale's/pelican's mouth? [It/they could maybe be good luck
charms for when you go fishing in it.]

The uniqueness of you design is all the reason you need to build it.
It'll either make everyone who sees it smile, or at least make them think
a bit while they try to decide to what it is - and how often are most
people required to think anymore, these days of spoon-fed entertainment?
Just by their looking at it, you've affected them in positive manner. Ha!

Best of luck in the new year and continues success with the build.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Perttu,
Love the concept. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Kind of curous. In your initial drawing you showed it with an outboard engine while it's in the water.

Was wondering if that is the plan? If so, where do you store the motor when it's not in use? And I'm not quite seeing how it would mount to the back. Even with the steps removed there is the rear portion of the trailer frame that I would think would prevent you from mounting it up top?

Hi

Here is how I am going to make the back :

There will be 3 removable grills on back ( 15mm film ply )

Image

They vill be fastened with bolts to transom.

Image

Outboard can be transport when one side grill is removed - still clear way to cabin. And ladder should have enough room to tilt.
Image

And on water the center grill will be removed and outboard is placed to middle.

Ahh. Ok.

I think what was throwing me off was the part of the frame where the ladder sits. I kept forgetting that the boat would be removed from the frame of the trailer while in the water.

How difficult do you forsee disconnecting and reconnecting the boat to the trailer will be?

The boat is connected with " truck style lines...."..

I will make the back ligths and ladders removable and just drove the trailer enoug to water - so the boat bottom meets the water. That wounld not so too good for wheel bearings, but they can be renewed if needed...

WOW! This is one of the coolest builds I have seen in a long time. I love the little campers and I love boats, to this is the best of both worlds.

Can't wait to see it finished.

Hi and thanks for comments.

Boats have names - I am not sure should trailer/boat has name too.
So I may do small name stickers
I thougth that carawhale is good name or kaskelotti ( spherm whale in finnish language ).

But I may go with whales tear - It saunds nice. But should I write it:
1. whales tear
2. whale´s tear
3 tear of the whale
4 or some another way

I am poor whit grammars even my own language?
