Terry, thanks for the suggestion. You're right about the wiring & gas line stuff, but I'm going to bolt it down & call it good. The trailer was a real find and the decking was nice & strong (I've always liked aluminum diamond plate). As it is I'll use some of the aluminum for trim so it won't go to waste. I may miss having a deck from time to time for hauling sheet-goods, but it's all a compromise and there's no reason I couldn't unbolt it and move it off, just too much bother for now to worry about. It would mean jumping through a few more hoops than I really wish to have to for the build.
