Guy, I didn't know your mother and brother lived close to Ron. My mom and brother also live just a few miles away. Wonder if they know each other?

Have a good day.

As reality and dreams clash.

I realize the boards I got are 4x8 my TTT will be 5'4" tall
this means I will have to feather _/ the plywood (hope that's the right trum)
a second pc on the top, I also had wanted to do a little rounded now but it may look more like Alan's Weekender up front.

before I start on the walls I do have a question should I seal the floor of the TTT inside first or after the walls are up.

I think there was a discoution earlier on what to use.

Ron

edit: mikeschn asks, what does Alan's weekender look like?

Ron - Speaking of relations, I wonder if you're related to Dave Dickey that used to fly for Yute Air out of Dillingham. I know his folks used to live near Tank Farm & Broad, but lost track. Fred :snow

Sorry, no I am a trasplant from New Mexico the family came from Counsil Bluffs Iowa I have only the family bible from back when my grandparents and great great grand dad were homesteaders in Clovis, NM.

Dave Dickey may be related to Prof. Dickey he was the computer goro there back when few new what computers were and built one from scratch.

on the net I show him here in 2003, there is a dondickey.com, there is one or 2 that are Vice presidents and on that is 51 from monthana going to an HS reunion and the is [email protected] but that may not be Donald with Dickey as the last. The is also a Judge Don Dickey. And one site said Don Dickey was trying to get people to go to alaska but I did not find him again. and he is not in the phone book. he might belong to one of the air plane clubs.

I am wanting to have a swing out galley but the things that I want to change are I want it to sit inside the TTT while driving keeping it 8' . to do so the galley will be inside the trailer. Technically 2 booksheves in shape 1 right (cooking) 1 left (personal stuff maybe chest for cloths and camp supplies).

These 2 shelving units will pull back and swing out left and righ.
one will turn 180 degrees so the same side of the unit is on the opposite side of the wall. so the smell of burnt toast will not fill the trailers insides.

to pull out might work on one of those stereo units where the door opens and then pushes back so not to block the TV views. But that would only be 90 degrees. for it to do another turn it might need another slide and hinge on theback of the unit.

The other unit would only need to turn 90 degrees. but could also turn 180 if making it swing were made easy.

Andrew
you like to play with things like that.
I will try and find some sort of picture but hing wise I am stumped. I may have to go for the outside unit for simpicty.
here was the origanial drawing

Andrews design
http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/t ... tear48.htm
is close to min but no hinged top and 4x8 and about 5 1/2 ft tall.
open back and two side doors.
I have not measured the the trailer but it could still go in the back of the truck.

I have been working on most of my trailer landing gear but when it rained I worked on the body.

today I stood the back opening suport frame up put the floor on the ground slid over the two sides and clamped it on. Called the wife who stood inside saying what goes where.

it is ready for support slats and door inforcements.

I have some new exsiding ideas for lugage rack and storage.

:applause: :applause: it looks prity good if I may say so my self.

even the neighbors were looking in as they drove by.

The Box kite now has landing gear.

I did my first bearings, hub with lots and lots of grease.

My tires are on the ground and lights are ready to attach.

I have to drill for new catcher, and wire truck for trailer.

attach landing pad for trailer body and go get licensed.

I also am about to start a new job and will see if they let me go up north so soon. I may have to wait until next year for Pamplingrove??
There will be other meets I will go to if I can not make this one ...
but for money/ bennifits I will have to play it safe.

I can not offer pic's nor drawings.

I redid my rear part it will be 1/3 2/3rds.

I will have a swing out and back cooking area. will sting out like a door on a hinge. only deeper.

on the left (DS ) I will have a pull out set of drawers to hold personal needs. It will face the inside of the trailer.

On the right (R.S.) will be a swing out kitchen area that will rest next to the wheel well. Will ride on 3 hinges and will swing around.

The drawer unit will ride on large drawer pulls, pulling unit back and out of the way of the way of the swing around cooking unit.

I just realized how close this design is to the boxkite. Add a couple cabinets inside the doors, and voila!!!
