Web Page for the Weekender

Did you just design your very own teardrop or tiny trailer? Want to discuss it? Here's the place to post your design for discussion!

Oh yeah, Mike!

If it's possible, could you keep a running tally (or approximate) cost of what this trailer will cost to build please? Both in 4' x 8' and the size you're making now. If we were to build another ever... shhh, don't tell Bob I said that  it would be the bigger size.

Thanks,
Bev

Started working on the page for the final design for the Weekender.

Gotta freeze it sooner or later, eh? Anyways, this final design will allow a person to add a furnace, or an air conditioner if desired.

I think since this will be my first time building a trailer I may jsut go with the weekender design and modify the galley to my liking, (tailgating. As far as room for two I can add a tent to the side like Ive seen before. What ya think? Good idea?
Looking to build the ultimate tailgating machine, anyone help me?

Mike,,I was looking at ya weekender design sketch and had a thought,,you have the a/c and heater installed in both ends of the cabin,,,and you definately wont be using both on the same outing,,ie: if its cold enough for heat then ya dont need an a/c,,make provisions either in the front or rear for both to utilize the same opening,,if its winter put in the heater,,if its warm put in the a/c,,It will free up a little space and cut down on the weight factor also of hauling both all the time,,just thinking again,,it might take a bit of enginering to get the space and mounting system correct but I got confidence in ya,,

Well, I was just getting ready to go and start cutting the sides for my teardrop when I happened to run across this disscussion. This design is what I've been looking for quick easy and ready to roll.

Mike, I wanted to thank you for sharing the design and running the board. You and some of the other members are an inspiration to those of us just getting started.

That's a good idea Chip.
I like the way engled went bout doing his AC, he only takes it with him when he needs it and it goes under the trailer and hooks up with duct hoses.

Just added the skinning page... it's not quite done yet, but there's enough there that you can look at it!

Mike...

P.S. Chip, I sent you email on your TPO... did you get it?
