Buford,

Which one are you going to build for your second one?

Mike,

I'm getting all the stuff togethere for Harper's plans.

Everyone says it won't work. But I'm going to use most of the plans. I will be modifing the chassis to some degree just the placement of the stub torsion axles but that's about it. I'll still use the frp to cover the thing with. I've learned enough to have a really neat looking 4x8 tear and that's all the size I need for right now.

The plans are a lot like the weekender and with all the supplies I think you can buiild it in a couple of weekends. So I'm going to call it the weekender II.

Just a different design. Will not be insulating the walls and I feel you don't need it. will do the top.

and I'll use auto paint on the panels this time. I'll keep you posted.

Mostly this is a challenge as everyone keeps putting the plans down. I want to see how much it weights. Should be one of the lighter ones out there and with all the thoughts about weight I feel it will be a good tear to let people know how light one can be.

Here you go Laredo. If you go to Grants site and look under plans you'll see the tear.

First off let me say that I'm in no way alligned with W. A. Harper. I just ordered all the plans about 2 years ago when I started building the mini-hopper.

Set down and read and reread all the plans and all the info.

I've found that the most simplest trailer to build is the one from Harper. The chassis would be the easiest to build and could be used for all trailers with small modifications.

The chassis and the tear become one with these plans. Which in my opion is the way these tears should be made.

They are not step by step plans like Kevin's are but really are easy to read and understand.

With Mike building the weekender. I've gone back and looked at the plans and believe that when I get the money togethere I should be able to build one using these plans in about 2 to 3 weekends like Mike is doing.

Grant's site is listed in the links section under "Source of Supply"

It's the second one down, called Lil Bear
