The Cat house

Postby Gambam » Fri Apr 14, 2006 1:32 pm

My design is mostly Weekender with a few changes.

It is 4 tall x 5 wide x 9 long, built on a HF folding frame. I'm building over the wheels to get to 5ft.

It was first planned to be 4 tall x 8 long, but I was lucky and had 20 sheets of 4x9 frp donated to the project. They are brown, but they are not uv (outside) so they will be getting a nice very light grey color paint job.

Outside - I already ordered my windows. And yes that is a BIG door, but I am a BIIIGGGG boy
Image

Inside - nice little under bed storage that will act as a footwell on less then perfect days.

Let me know what you think.

Two things you might want:

- A bit more than 36" high at the door? 36" will work but isn't generous, particularly if you've got a deep mattress sticking up above the bottom of the door. Cutting the depth over the door from 8" to 4" would give you a 40" high door and still leave plenty of body strength.

- A bit more than 72" on the length of the bed? Even us stumpy Yurpeens* expect to get a 78" bed.

thanks for tips, I'm only 5'7" and the wife is 5'4" so I was hoping 6' would be enough. We'll have to try an expirament with some scrap wood I've got. 8)

The door will deff end up taller, It was drawn more to get a sense width.

We have a lot of tall Dutch folk up in Michigan, and non of them would like your choice of graphics on your trailer.

Somehow I failed to see why those graphics should offend tall Dutch people :QM :QM :QM :QM :QM

Doesn't have anything to do with the Hollanders. It's the rivalry between Ohio and the University of Michigan.

Sorry...I saw Ohio and was thinking Ohio State and the buckeyes, and you are showing a much superior mascot from another school.
Sorry Gambam

If it was Ohio State wouldnt you have to use a nut for the graphic on the tear?
I wonder how that would look.
hmmmmmmmm.

If the graphic was a Nittany Lion it would truely rock.

Yep, this trailer is to tailgate at the other Ohio school - Ohio University Bobcats - now that we have a real coach (former Nebraska coach-Frank Solich) The football program is really taking off.

If I wanted to be like everyone else around this part of Ohio I would paint it like this
Image

But I've always been a little weird :?

Don't get me wrong I still love the buckeyes, and we won't talk about how I feel about "that team up north".
