Updating my idea/plan

Postby Marck » Thu Sep 09, 2004 8:22 am

Ok I just realized that when I posted my idea for a tear with a "slide-out" I probably should have posted it here instead of in the "non traditional" forum.

anyway, those who saw it, commented, and gave me ideas.

I also have been working, and I was thinking that if I took the basic profile of a Wild Goose/Kampmaster, and did some rearranging, I could easily sleep 6.
I would have to change to a "normal" tear kitchen, instead of a walk-in, but am slowly working on it.

When I finish this model I will post it.

Hey Marck,
I really like your idea. Building the slide-out shouldn't be a problem, just make sure that you use a seal when it is stowed and an additional seal when it is extended.
Have you considered changing the configuration of the slide-out, like starting at the floor line? (That way you could go with a door on that side of the trailer as well)

Marck,

Have you considered building the trailer 6 feet wide and at least 5 feet tall? That way you could have two stacked bunks across the front of the trailer and two across the back of the trailer. The lower bunks could have storage underneath and you still have room for mom and dad on a double bed on the floor in between.

I made a little sketch that I'll post in my gallery.

What do you think?

Been tossing that idea around also... I am 6'2" tall so it's kinda tight.

BTW I have found that I can't see any picsa in anyone's gallery. not a single one, I checked in almost everyone's gallery, and all I see is the pic info and the "comments" "rating" links. don't know why... have the same problem with the gallery in an eBay group as well.

What browser are you using? Can you see the photos in the messages?

I just looked at the albums, and they are fine...

I'm using IE 6.0
I can see the pics in the avatars, and when ppl put pics in their posts, just not in the gallerys.

same exact thing in that eBay group too. I think it might be my Anti Virus

EZ trust antivirus, maybe my EZ firewall. one or the other.

That makes sense... can you turn it off for a moment, and look at the galley photos?

In internet explorer, go to "Internet->Options->Advanced" and tell me what you see, compare your screen to my screen...

I had a problem on another computer with Internet Explorer. It wouldn't open up java script windows. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE but nothing seemed to work. It drove me nuts, so I moved back to Netscape and it works great. I especially like multiple tabs I can have open which I find more convenient to use.

I also use Netscape Mail and I like the way it works better than Outlook Express.

You know, you might have a corruption in IE. But rather than wiping your harddrive, and reloading everything, Netscape is a good work around! glad you can finally see all those photos! 8)
