Dropped my form and check in the mail today. Now just twiddling (sp?) my thumbs until my number comes in. I was wondering if the South Central Group is (are?) trying to stay in a certain area together? I've never been to Minden, during the ITG or not, so don't know how its set-up. Just what I've seen from the pics. Some enlightenment please.

Karol,
They don't assign sites. They just reserve you for either the main campground or the primitave one. They will reserve you a space. If you tell them who you want to share with, they will put your reservations together.

I received a copy of the campground map in the mail today. I have scanned it and it's on my Minden web page on my site.
http://www.scottforsen.com/Teardrop/minden.htm

The primitive area is to the right of the main campground and is bigger then indicated on the map. I wish they would reserve a specific site so you'll know where you are going to be before hand. Not knowing your site or who you may be neighbors with makes it more interesting.

Anyone know if they are reserving in the primative area if you need electricity or is it first come?

Mailed mine today :relaxing: :woohoo:

When I made mine today, I told them I need a site with electric. I assume They'll reserve me a spot in the main area. of corse I don't know where, I only reserved a half site so I also don't know with who

Rule of thumb is if you all come in together you could end up close. But then you don't get to know those from other parts of the country. No, the camp ground isn't so large that you won't be close to someone you know. And think of all the new friends you'll meet. Heck, I'm sharing a site with someone from the North Central area that I've only met here on the board. I camp with those from the South West all the time.

You'll have a good time Karol no matter who you camp with.

Thanks for all the answers. I have never met anyone from the forum that I wouldn't care to share a site with. (Did I say that right?) Everyone that I met at any of the gatherings have been great! I just didn't want to be in the wrong place if I was supposed to be elsewhere! (Seems like I do that sometimes!)
Looking forward to expanding my group of teardrop friends!
