Hi
Just north of Tauranga here. Have the trailer base but have not really started the build yet, though have a bunch of materials - need to build a workshop first! Planning on a glass-over-ply finish, and plan to emulate the AtmaTravelear teardrop to the best of my abilities - that is a truely beautiful piece of work.
cheers,
Nick

Welcome Nick , I hope you can keep us in the picture with your build . I really like the lines of the Atma TT and especially the way the deck lid curves right around and tucks under at the bottom.

So I am getting a group of mates together for a weekend at gore bay.
Most are into old cars and belong to another forum I frequent.
Anyway Gore Bay is approx 1 hr 15 min from Christchurch
Any NZ Teardroppers are welcome 22- 24 Jan

I was just wondering if you had access to private property or were planing to use the camp ground .
The camp ground fee is outside of my comfort zone , for example, Amberly beach was less than half the cost (last time I looked). But it's your party and you know what you guys like

Hi guys yep its Dave from Hamilton thinking of building something along the lines of this
..i have a utility trailer 1420mm W x 2000mm L or 4'.6''Wx 6'.5''L Hope to turn this into either a tiny travel trailer with a cap or canopy as we call them off a pickup...or if i cant get one the suitable size ...i plan to make a trailer along the lines of the Nano weekender out of it using 18mm ply...will follow up with some pics...the pic isnt mine but if i can find the right size cap/canopy it should look similar to this..plan to have fantastic fan interior bed that folds into a couch i already have TV, 12 volt power with sola on the roof maybe a portapoti and a fresh and grey water tank...i know you are thinking where the hell is he gonna put all that
yeah well im not sure yet.. still planning .. i have an option on a high top canopy its awesome but to wide by 90mm each side and to long by 400mm trying to work out a way to fit it
cheers Dave
