Well our house is 95% done, just waiting on the sod and the appliances. We sign this Wednesday, get out keys on Friday and we will then start moving!

Finally a place to work on my cars and trailer in peace :)

Congratulations Shrug.

Where are you. I can see to the left side of the photo a great flat distance with no trees? And I can't see your License plate to tell. I'm intrigued.

Many thanks to all. The house is in Laveen, AZ, just outside of Phoenix about 30 minutes West of Scottsdale.

I'll start working on one as soon as we get settled in. I already have my trailer which will be delivered next week. I also need to get back to work. It has been hard getting working again since mr. bush allowed my job to be sent to india, and more recently because of my health problems.
I am hoping to get back to some tech support/csr work from home with a company I do some work with. I am also hoping to sign on a few new web design clients.
At least I found one fellow who is willing to install my rear sprinkler and irrigation system in trade for a web site.
Since my wife likes it the best of all my designs, I will probably be going for the Stardust

Now why would that song bother you? Oh I know, you need the lyrics... ok here they are, just for you!

Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep
Brother's got a date to keep
He can't hang around

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our

Our house it has a crowd
There's always something happening
And it's usually quite loud
Our mum she's so house-proud
Nothing ever slows her down
And a mess is not allowed

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...
Something tells you that you've got to get away from it

Father gets up late for work
Mother has to iron his shirt
Then she sends the kids to school
Sees them off with a small kiss
She's the one they're going to miss
In lots of ways

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...

I remember way back then when everything was true and when
We would have such a very good time such a fine time
Such a happy time
And I remember how we'd play simply waste the day away
Then we'd say nothing would come between us two dreamers

Father wears his Sunday best
Mother's tired she needs a rest
The kids are playing up downstairs
Sister's sighing in her sleep
Brother's got a date to keep
He can't hang around

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our street

Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our ...

Our house, was our castle and our keep
Our house, in the middle of our street

Our house, that was where we used to sleep
Our house, in the middle of our street

Our house, in the middle of our street

Dang! It seems weird having Merkans quote Madness lyrics. They always seem such a uniquely British taste, but I guess that's not so.

Still, you didn't quote 'House of Fun'...

The house is about 1650 sq. ft (not counting garage). It is standard 2x4 construction. No solar yet, but we are hoping to add it in the next few years. Arizona is the perfect place for solar. The house has an energy star rating. It is also completely pre-wired for everything from a home theatre to a whole house wired and wireless network.

Here is the basic floor plan:

For the den we left off the closet but did not let them remove that wall. We went for the extended utility room instead of the 2 1/2 garage, since my wife let me get the RV gate for my trailer and other project vehicles.

Andrew: in high school in the early 80s here in Merka we had quite the Two Tone thing going : Madness, The Specials, The Beat ("English Beat" here), The Selecter, etc. 'Course that was in Colorado and well before the radio stations all had one owner!

You may be dating yourself. Oh those were the days, MTV (when they used to play music) and college radio at it's finest. Did you happen to see English Beat on "Bands Reunited"? I was a little dissapointed that they didn't get them all.
