ours was $2.69 the other day.

on the news tonight heard a speculation of $90/barrel in the near future. ("the news" meaning someone on tv interpreting world events subjectively and presenting as truth, and possibly from a perspective waaaaaayyyyy different from your own)

what? me cynical? :SH

We are still paying $2.89 for regular here in Podunk Florida as of Wednesday. :o

The cheapest that I can find is $2.93.

The current run up in the price of oil is not really a increase in the price. That is staying relatively constant. The thing that has been changing is the value of the US dollar. It has been dropping and dropping a lot. A consequence is that everything imported will be going up and things made from oil like tires will be going up even more. This is all fallout from the collapse in the subprime mortgage market.

From an export perspective it makes US goods cheaper overseas. That helps exports.
