Hey Phoenix folks...

Postby Shrug53 » Fri Mar 11, 2005 3:20 pm

I wanted to go in a few weeks to get a few sheets of plywood. However I do not have a truck anymore and I was wondering if there was anybody around here with a truck who would be willing to give me a lift to home depot to pick up the wood.

It will probably be in three or four weeks. Now that I am working again (part time), it will take a few weeks to start getting paid.

I could throw you a few bucks for gas, or buy you a burger or something.

Thanks!

If you can't get anybody to take you, the Home Depot (at least around here) has rental pickups.

Yeah except it is like 30 bucks for two hours :(
Gotta watch those nickels and dimes. 30 bucks will buy me a nice trailer jack!

I used one of these Home Depot rental trucks last night for the first time - what a painless experience! $20 for the first 75 minutes, $5 for every 15 minutes after that; free mileage, free gas, flop down sides and back for easy loading. The bed level was higher than your normal pickup truck, but that wasn't a problem.

The transaction was seperate than my purchases and they didn't even check to see if I bought anything. I could have *easily* just rented it to move something else other than Home Depot products. Hmmmmmm, what else needs to be moved....
