Went to pick up my helper last weekend and my truck has a serious alignment problem it pull hard as I pass yards sales often causing me to have to stop :D

Well I scored big at one in particuar. A Makita drywall gun for $2.00 and a Craftsman circular saw for $5.00 a bunch of assorted hand tools ( drywall saw, chalkline, and others) at 25 or 50 cents. Then we went by the free pile 4 bundles of peel and stick vinyl tile and a key wind regulator clock. They said the clock worked it just wouldn't keep time. I didn't have the heart to tell them you simply adjust the pendelum up or down to adjust the time keeping. I love yard sales !!!

That's a good haul!

We often hit Value Village, especially their used book shelves. But my best haul there was when my wife spotted a set of work boots in my size. They were priced $5 but she had a coupon, so we got them for $3.85, after I tried them on and saw that they were well maintained Nick's Boots! Yeah, $500 boots for $3.85 so I didn't feel bad about taking them to the cobbler and having him replace any hooks and eyelets that looked like they needed it. That was $30, and I have a set of well broken in, just resoled, top quality work boots.

Lots of hard sales and moving sales around here. I've gotten some great deals on tools.
If it's a well used tool and still in good shape, I'm pretty sure it's a good one. New ones are a gamble.
Sometimes the freebie pile holds just the piece of hardware or the fitting you needed. :D
Life is too short not to be happy.

Well found by the side of the road ought to count too !! Was out in the country and about to cross a recently repaired railroad crossing. I was curious about 7 blue barrels each about the size of a small keg. Turns out they were each full of these......

I wasn't greedy I got about 10 of the 700 or so that were left they were all brand spanking new.

I just wanted enough to make my coat rack for the depot.

Psst!Just for the record.....FELONY. Railroads are protected by the federal government, and even to walk on the right-of-way can have unpleasant results, if somebody wanted to push it.

Well they filled an 8 x20 short sided roll off with windows. I couldn't contain myself about 26 ~ 29 inch by 3 foot sashes making 14 - 15 3x5'6" double hung windows. I have no idea what to do with that many but I couldn't leave them to go to the landfill. It really is a disease ! :D

Factory closing maybe?

Well the grand mother of bargains just fell out of the sky. Answered an add for steel cabinets.... Very long story very short 67 24" 36" and 48" base cabinets for $180.00 about 1/3 with counter tops. That's not quite $ 3.00 each. Pics soon !

Couple of years ago I dumpster dove for 29 , 5 ft. X 5ft. triple pane plexiglass windows, with 3/4 inch plexiglass dividers. Outside pane overlapped the other two by an inch or so all the way around.
I used some of them to build my mother in law a green house for the walls. Took me two trips ( the second with an 8x6 trailer) to carry them all. Still got a bunch left and might use them for the Vardo I want to build.

Well there they were dropped in a roll off dumpster. I went in and asked if I could have them since it was a large chain hotel.....

I was told "yes, gladly and we have more" Turned out it was 127 more

So I started head scratching what the hell to do with them here are a few of the end products so far......
