When I got to the office building a couple of sheriff's deputies where there never did find out why. Other than that a slow day for me.

Well Alan.. at least they didn't come for you… :o 8)

The rain was fairly light most of the day yesterday, so I could comfortably run out to the barn and back. Some of my lumber is out there, as is my table saw. My slide compound saw is still on the covered porch. I did make some headway on the porch yesterday.

We are going out to eat with friends [at lunch time] I will probably head into town this morning. I have bottles to return.. and want to head to the shop.

Then maybe porch work this afternoon… although I should be taking care of some firewood also.

Saturday we might do trail work. Sunday we have some bike events in Bangor [an hour North] There is a show that night "Cirque Mechanics Pedal Punk" The club up there will host a ride for us that afternoon.. and then a Brewing Company is hosting us in-between. :) Orono Brewing company is where one of my best friends son is the brew master.

Good Morning. Been doing some organizing/planning organization this morning. Should be a mix of sun and clouds today with high around mid to upper 40s.

I was talking to the mechanic at the GC this morning and we might try to re-engineer the whole plow hookup system for my atv.

So Glenn, do you get a discount at the Brewing Co.??? :D

I don't think the Brewery will have anything we can take.. they have started putting some in cans.. but it always sells out right away.. so we just get to partake in the tasting room…and I certainly don't want much there… I am not sure if Asa [the Brewmaster will be there.. so probably no discounts..

I hung out at the shop.. visiting this morning. Made Laurie and our friends for lunch.. then came home to work on the porch [the inside part].

We did do a ride tonight. I took yesterday off.. and wanted a moderate ride tonight… I felt fairly good. I am not sure what would have been in the tank if I had tried to push it.. but for the level I rode at I felt pretty good. My cadence.. [pedal speed] has been pretty good. I think we will take tomorrow off.. and we should be riding outside Sunday.

A fairly boring day at work here. Wish I was on the big project though. At least I get a weekend this way.

It's a cold morning here at least by Sacramento standards. I actually had to scrape a thin layer of ice off of the windshield this morning.

Welcome to the thread Fritz!

We had upper 30's this morning. We headed out for some trail work. With the leaves on the ground un-frozen.. we opted for working on a new trail we have been thinking about. We got the new trail mostly built. We also added another small trail to make a loop out of a technical side trail we had. This required a small ramp to be built to span a steep dip in the ledge. [when we came back for lunch we got the materials and tools to build that. The first trail required a bit of rock work. In some places just removing very sharp and jagged rock… in some places breaking away.. sharp and jagged ledge.. in some places covering [with earth] jagged ledge. In another spot we removed a lot of jagged rock and replaced the rock in a less "deadly" pattern.

Yes I looked up the stout… it sounded good.

I thought it was rather rude of him not to offer us one... :o

We are at mid 30's and are rather grey out. I am having a lazy morning. I cleaned out the wood stove [ashes] and brought in fire wood. We have our events today, and need to start getting ready for that. I am looking forward to the group ride. Not that the rest won't be fun also. :D

Was up late last night playing with one of my computers. Managed to not get woken up by the marathon that went by. It was cold enough that outside of the runners I hope everyone was well prepared.

Do I see that one of you works in a brewery. Once my TD project is done I'm thinking a home brew setup might go in its place. Any recommended resources, forums etc?

A friend of mine does.. One of my best friends son is a brewmaster at a micro brew about an hours north of where I am. Micro brews are big here. Portland Me. an hour in the other direction has more micro brews per capita .. than anywhere in the country.
