I am guessing firewood is at a premium in your corner of the world but a outside wood burner in a insulated block masonry outer shell would allow you to circulate air from the house to the outside furnace and return warm air. As to the potty delima, Mr. Stinky and I are doing fine and I am pleased to inform all, he has not lived up to his name. The scented kitty litter and between load cleanings with scented bleach has kept him very very civilized. Oh, another matter; The disposal of fecal matter into a dumpster or certified garbage service is within federal guide lines. I have this on the authority of a Federal health inspector. As long as the "package" is headed to a certified sanitary land fill it is legal and proper. Slow if you are only going to have 12 volt lighting just invest in the 12 volt RV bulbs. They screw into the existing fixtures and all you will have to do is couple your hot (positive) to the black wires at the in-feed of the service (fuse) box and the negative at the white. Just never never hook to 120 AC or you will blow all your bulbs. Yes it is a bit like long term camping but after 6 weeks plus I have absolutely no regrets. There is a real comfort of having no heat bill, no cable bill, no water bill , and no electric bill, and still having all the necessary comforts of life.
Growing older but not up !
