WeatherTech Floor Mats

Postby lrrowe » Tue Feb 17, 2015 10:16 pm

I am not connected with WeatherTech in any way, but I wanted to share with the members the great product and customer service with WeatherTech, a manufacturer of US made truck and car floor mats.

I am sure most of the members here have heard of them and did not consider them because of price. My wife purchased a set for her Kia Sorento and I recently put a set in the front and back of my F150. I was pleased with them but had one issue with the rear mat catching the door and deforming. I just happened to meet the WeatherTech sales rep at a fishing expo a few week backs and took the opportunity to share my disappointment with his product. He was surprised and gave me some things I could do using a heat gun. I did it and maybe used too much heat which sort of melted a section. I went back to WT and admitted that I was maybe too aggressive in my repair work, but they accepted all responsibility and are sending me a new rear mat asap.

Now that is customer service and in my mind and goes a long way to say something about this company. So I am not pushing their products in anyway, but if anyone is one the fence because of the high price, I can only add my experience for a reference.

We have them in the present 2 vehicles and I do not regret spending the bucks for a very nice made in USA product. I did spend a lot of time vacillating on the decision to buy the first set. I have not had to use customer service but it's good to know about your experience.

We have them in our cars. Great product and really worth while during the snowy winter.

My wife's SUV has a set, I have Husky liners in my truck. The Husky set is much better, her edges are folded in and no longer at the correct angle.

Maybe if she called the WeatherTech folks, and depending on the type of material in hers, then they just be able to give her some advice on how to bring the material back to the correct angles. In my case, the material had a memory in it and with heat, it just moved back to the correct angle. I just keep the heat there too long. If you want, I can forward via PM the contact info I used.
