Seriously, this is a damn cool build that someone here must know something about. From what I can tell, the guy who took the picture lives in Colorado.

Having never been to Alaska, I have to say it's greener Than I thought it would be. Maybe some day...

The photos had to be taken in the lower 48

Very fitting for Anchorage, the aviation hub of Alaska. :chicken:

Gerry, Alaska starts to green up in May and is lush & colorful through September and into October. Those spruce trees are green all year.

Due to wildfire smoke in recent years caused by climate change, I'd recommend avoiding mid summer for your trip.

I've spent some time in Alaska, the soutwestern sections are very reminisent of washington/oregon. Lots of green, lots of trees.

My parents drove up up the Alcan highway in the mid-70s when it still required prep, planning and a "Milepost". I've flown up in the early spring for a snow machine adventure, and once again during mid-june when the sun never sleeps. My uncle & cousin live on the Kenai peninsula.
