Thought id kick off an off topic thread to see what we all get upto in our spare time.
Today we launched the boat at queenscliff witch is the heads to port phillip bay witch is the large body of water off melborne .
Outside the heads is the southern ocean.... nothing but tasmania in the way to antartica.
We were chasing snapper but the current was running crazy and had the wind against the tide .
The whole experience was pretty ordinary and the only fish caught were a couple of banjo sharks... xaught by me
Biggest was about 15 pound i guess.
The haze in the backgrounds bushfires;we could hardly see 100 feet today
Temp was 38c and 42 tomorrow with even stronger winds so total fire bans and no fishing!
Heres a pic of today on the water.
