Christmas Eve Dinner COVID-19 Style

Postby halfdome, Danny » Thu Dec 24, 2020 3:29 pm

I didn't want anyone over to our home during this pandemic but this time I got out voted.
As a compromise we set up our 13' x 13' Coleman canopy with RV mats, gas fire ring and 2 Coleman propane heaters, it's 36 degrees right now.
I did some measuring and we will exceed the 6' indoor limits, I'll be wearing a mask, and hopefully others will too.

Yesterday while scanning my food items at the grocery store some goofy woman stood a foot away from me waiting to cut in line in front of others.
Another shopper asked me if we were together, I said I don't know her.
Then I told her to back off and she moved a couple feet, then I said back off 6' and she complied.
We all have to be diligent if we want life to return to normal.
Merry Christmas...

Have a Merry Christmas.

And be smart everyone. Or we'll be repeating 2020...

Well it worked out okay yesterday.
My wife hadn't seen her son and daughter-in-law since Thanksgiving 2019.
We were all diligent about wearing masks and kept our distances.
Wish we had another Coleman heater as the guests got them including the fire ring and blankets.
I finally had to go in the house to the wood stove as I was shivering.
They said it was a great and memorable Christmas eve for them.
It kind of reminded us of teardrop camping.
Hopefully we can take the teardrop ot of the garage next year, it's been sitting there since Halloween 2019.
