Found Marine Speakers By Blaupunkt

Postby Classic Finn » Thu Oct 05, 2006 1:24 pm

I was wondering does anyone in the States still make or sell the good sounding ol time Jensen automobile speakers?

I guess they would have been popular in the 70,s or early 80,s? Unless Im mistaken by the year...

What other type of speakers have you used for your teardrops ? I guess not everyone is up to having Music in their builds but for the ones that have..Im definitely one of them that will install the music center of some sort..

Ive also looked at Marine Type speakers that are actually good sounding as well..

I think the best choice for a teardrop would be marine speakers. They are made to take the moisture and UV.

Heikki, being an "old" audiophile I have to say that the speakers of old are no match for what is being produced today. There capabilities are way ahead, in all respects.
Now, if what you really want is the old look, well, that's an entirely different story 8)

Cheers
Paul

Im using these for my 15 inch LCD and DDVD player....no sub woofer but they shake the TD with realism.......a bit pricey but I have a friend in the industry and got them cheaper....will take them inside when I close up the TD for the winter months... http://tinyurl.com/ngzhl

Those speakers will do the job perfectly. You don't need super high fidelity speakers just ones that will do the job without any fuss. This is from someone who refuses to listen to AM radio because it sounds so crappy.

Thank You for the Replies.
