I just want a single fuse to protect my 110,and came up with this. This will be mounted in the tongue box just at the 110 entry. Connected to the HOT side of the 110 the fuse should trip if anything goes wrong....right?

Yes, technically it will work. I'd sure be ashamed if anyone saw it though!

What about putting an exterior GFI receptical in there...you get 2 110 outlets and it's protected, put a plug on the lead for the rest of the trailer and plug it in, still gives you 1 more outlet to use...just a thought...but I'm just a 12 Volt builder...Doug

Make sure you put it some place that will not get wet.
Even though it is a plastic box and cover if it is wet enough, you may be doing the 60 Hurts Jig.
Are you putting the incoming hot wire on the black lead, the outgoing on the white lead?
I must admit I have done that too. You are right not to code!!!!! :frightened:

I plan to put a GFI in the Galley and a regular plug in the cabin. This fuse will be in the tongue box as extra protection if something is wrong with shore power..... Or will the GFI in the galley be enough protection??
Hate to fry the wire in my roof.....

John...you might want to total up the amperage that you may be using at any 1 time...how many appliances do you plan on running...got AC? you are showing a 15 amp breaker in the box up front...will that give you enough? If you have that or a GFI do you think you'd need another in the galley?....and none of it is to code, but I'd think protection right up front will cover the rest of the tear...but again...I'm not an electrician...Doug

Doug You'r probably right... If I put a GFI in the toungue box that should protect the rest of the tear, and give me some place to plug in my battery tender... :)
