BATTERY TO THE FRONT

Postby Waliczek » Thu Nov 11, 2004 6:15 pm

Looks like I am going to have to move the battery to the front. After I put that heavy sucker in the back, with the charger, and other kitchen equipment, I can one finger that trailer down, and I don't figure that's where I want to be. I plan on building or buying an appropriate size box to fit on the tounge and then run 10 Ga. wire through 3/4" plastic conduit under the trailer to connect to the panel in the galley. I planned on leaving the charger where it's at, and charging back up the wire when necessary. I would appriciate any thoughts of the subject.
Take care

Lots of trailer have the battery mounted on the tongue, so I see no reason that won't work. You may want to put a large in line fuse at the battery just to be on the safe side. 40 to 50 amp should do it.
