this looks like a good place to ask my Solar question?

Last fall I added a 15 watt solar panel to my trailer to keep the battery up over the winter.
And for you folks who are going to ask, yes I also installed a charge controller as well.

But my question is, when I travel will this interfere with the charging when I tow my trailer?
Or should I disconnect the solar panel when towing it?
The panel itself is a permanent mount so I'm just talking about the connections to the battery or if you will the charge controller?

Looking for input....

Nope should not be a problem, they mostly play well together.

Thanks Shadow Catcher, just had me wandering.

I saw something the other day that made good sense to me especially since I like forest camping. The guy had his solar panel resting on an a-frame that he built. He moves it around to catch the sun and he's got enough wiring to move it out from under the shade of the trees or his trailer. I think I may do that instead of mounting it to the roof. I guess you do need to set it up out of the way of dogs, kids and other troublemakers. I doubt that knocking it over would do much good for the solar panel

the 180 Watt panel is fixed on top of Compass Rose and I have a Unisolar 140 W flexible panel that can be staked out in the sun on an extension cord.
