Yep, I agree with Steve, these are more like spot lights for reading. For lighting the whole cabin, you'll need something more like a flood light that disperses the light. You could still use these as reading lights in conjunction with another dome light.
We have this light and I find its a bit bright but only where its focused. The rest of the cabin only gets reflected light. We use an overhead light for getting set up, dressing, looking for stuff (lots of small stuff),and scaring the nearest raccoon.
That's what I have for interior lights.
there are three sets of double swivel lights in the package.
I use two sets, both in the ceiling.
they are at the front, against the walls in the ceiling
I point one of the lights on each set toward the foot of the bed and the other toward the wall.
We think they're great.
