AC/DC Adaptor hack for 12v LED string lights

Postby foxontherun » Fri Nov 10, 2023 11:38 am

Good morning,
Recently purchased these 12V string lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B8BB51N?re ... tails&th=1

I was hoping that the lights would just come as 12v lights but they have the AC/DC adapter to use for powering them. Is there a connector I can use that I could wire these directly to my fuse block without having to plug them into AC? Would there happen to be a connector that has the end marked in blue in attached picture that I could use to hook directly to the DC terminal block? Thoughts or suggestions on how to safely do this are appreciated.

Thanks,
Harry :)

Cut off the connector and connect the wires to your terminal block. Pay attention to the polarity. Hooking up reversed may damage the controller.

Thank you for the reply; especially for the polarity part.
