Help with Two burner propane

Postby PapaJ » Sun Oct 01, 2006 6:52 am

When I first signed on this site, I saw a posting about a nice two burner cast iron cooker for the galley. Since then I have not been able to find it again. :?

There was one from K-Mart I think that got a lot of negative responses, but this one seemed to be of a better quality.

If anyone can help me locate it I would apprciate it. :)

Thanks, that may be it. Is there a regulater that can be added to control the size of the flames :QM

PapaJ....a low pressure regulator will make it act like your stove at home and a high pressure regulator wil make it act like a fish cooker/turkey fryer...when hooked to a 20# tank......

I am looking at stoves as well...and ran across a few comments about the HFT stove being kind of sketchy and less then desirable....because of it being a flame thrower.
With a low pressure regulator how does it preform? Curious as well...
oops...didn't see the link above
I'll check it out

With a low pressure regulator it doesn't do badly. Its still real touchy as far as the flame adjustment. But I'll tell you what I bought a cast iron stove like the HF from another source for 3 times the money and it acted the same way.

I still like them.

Thank you, Gentlemen.

I went down to the Harbor Freight store and they didn't have them in stock so I'm going to go ahead and order one.

I started playing around with the galley this past week-end moving wood around etc.

I keep looking at all of the pictures of the different galleys and can't decide on exactly which way to go.

I found a counter top & sink curbside, and I may keep the cabinet doors, sink and counter (with a different top.) The cabinet will have to go though.
