Yes !

Fiberglass survey stakes flex well and will make excellent roof bows.

Bobhenry

I saw those. In fact that's where I got the idea to use PVC pipe for the bows. Mine look a lot like yours except with PVC. I was hoping you would have figured out the perminate cover. :)

I only have a few days left before I head out. I guess I will have to figure out how to tarp it for the next trip. :)

Drag out the sewing machine again and sew a pocket for each bow on what will become the bottom side. Just fold back the material on itsself and stitch away. Leave a flap at each end and the front edge and cut the pocket away at the edge where it flips over your curtain. I have a buddy that has an upholstery shop I am gonna get over there this spring and set up the curtain so he can measure and stitch me up one out of marine grade vinyl.

Thats a great idea. I hadn't thought about making pockets for the bows. Where I bought the duckcloth they have ripstop material which would be a little more water resistant and lighter. I'm thinking that to make it secure I might have to use snaps to fasten it the curtin. Besides the rain we get a fair amount of wind.

Take the 8 - 10 inch flap that hangs down over the curtain and sew a hem in it much like for a curtain rod and slip in a piece of "all thread" or 1" flat stock. To avoid rust maybe a piece of stainless ????

Just more random thoughts
