Sitting on the brick camp table? SOLUTION

Postby oklahomajewel » Sat Mar 19, 2011 8:43 am

Campsites always have a picnic table. A wood one out of 2x8's or a heavy rough brick one.

I know we all relax in our camping chairs or stand around talking, but there are those times when several of us have sat around on the brick camping table or you sit there to eat , or maybe you're playing cards or dominoes .....

I think I found a solution!!!

I was in Wally Marty late one night , and noticed the Chair Pads , over by the tablecloths/napkins/placemats... the upholstered chair cushion you put on a wooden chair and tie to the spindles or whatever.

They had some simple brown cushy ones marked $3 each , down from $10. So ... DING DING DING!!! How about getting those , I'll add a strip of elastic & velcro and can secure it to the bench , and have a comfy seat bottom!!!

You can't buy a stadium seat or the cushion and material for four of them for $12

Update ..... tried a couple out at Beavers Bend last weekend ... success!
Didn't have them secured but even in a good wind, they didn't blow around!

I bet Anna and Kenny and some others can tell you how well they worked!
