I went to the flea market this past weekend and picked up this little dutch oven,, it even came with a hot plate and a storage bag,,, heck it might be worth the 20 bucks the guy wanted,,,

When you say small ....... there is no scale to it so it is a little difficult to see how about this which shelf would it go on? $20 is a decent deal!

Looks like ya got your self a deal there Chip. I just bought a bigger one, think its 12 qts. Got this great, and easy recipe for Corned Beef. a piece of beef just didn't fit in my 8 qt the right way.
I picked up a nice little 4 qt Dutch oven at a yard sale, figured it would be good for a small dinner, haven't used it yet. Can't wait.

Spring is coming. I saw a Robin the other day and a guy from Minnesota wearing shorts.

Hey Chip, you got a good deal on the Old Mountain Dutch Oven. The grate is for baking. You would set the grate inside the dutch oven ( years ago they would have used rocks) and place a cake or pie pan on top of it. This will allow a type of convection heating.

I have an 8" DO that is just the right size for the teardrop. It works great for soups, stews, cornbread, and is great for frying eggs. Turn the lid upside down and the concave surface keeps the eggs in the center. Brown the bread and cook the sausage in the bottom.
The DO and a small cast iron griddle is about all I ever use anymore.

For some reason the picture of Chip's DO didn't appear on my computer--just a white box with a red X in it ( never can understand why some pictures come through and others don't) However, the shot with Ma3tt's collection came through fine. Impressive!! I really like the shelf that they are displayed on, too. (does it fit in your teardrop?

I recently got this 2-quart Lodge DO from Amazon.com

I just found a 10 1/4" DO in my garage. Don't know where it came from, but I'll put it to good use this weekend at the Indiana Gathering.
