Here is a generic building plan for a teardrop designed by the members of T&TTT.

Foamie plans

Postby BirdSong » Sat Apr 29, 2017 5:06 pm

Hello all,
Maybe I'm not poking around in the right places, but are there any laid out, step by step plans somewhere for a tiny foamie?
I'm too afraid to wing it.
Thanks in advance guys,

Your best bet is probably to just start with the plans you like from a "traditional" build and adapt them to use foam. The folks in the Foamies sub-forum are extremely generous with their guidance and quite patient. As well, in GPW's gallery you'll find dozens of clear and concise drawings of different details of the building process.
Good luck,

Each of us foamies has a slightly different way of creating a foamie.
Youcan see the details if you go through the build albums.
My own personal opinion is that you should try building something smaller and cheaper out of foam first, this will get you used to the strengths and limits of foam.
Otherwise people tend to be skeptical and over think and over build (my 0.02 cents)
I tried building foam boats before building my foamie teardrop.
If you Google search for "Sawfish kayak ", you'll find the what I came up with.
Building my foamie was a breeze after developing the idea of a foam kayak.
