the steel im thinking of 1" x 2" x 2mm???? (I don't know how to convert that lol) with a 48" tongue

what do you think

P.s. If I could work out how to put a pick on here i would scan my design so you could see it

Adrian;
If you can you might fax/scan a sketch or hand drawn drawing to Mike and PM him or one of the Admin.'s and have the convert it. for you.
I'm sure some one else will be in here in a little while with some help.

I hope this will help. You might check with Paul C also how or where to get your picture scanned or to fax it.

G-day

body shaping

Postby Mr_k QLD » Thu Sep 20, 2007 6:16 am

Yeh thanx for that Pat & Paul hope to here for you more often

Ok here is my next question?

If I round off the front & back of the body do I just shorten the chassis frame so it still sits under the body?

regards Adrian

That's exactly what I did Adrian. I made a 300mm radius curve and the bottom corners and shortened the chassis to suit.

final thoughts

Postby Mr_k QLD » Sat Sep 22, 2007 5:35 am

Ok I have had a good think about it and have chatted to a trailer builder over here in australia

The chassis under the body of my TD I will build out of 2" x 1"

The A bar will be made of 2" x 2" and it will be 4' so I can add a storage/battery box on it

i have tried to work out how to up load a couple of scans of the diargram :? but i recon that will be another time lol

well sounds like a plan
what does every body think
