Tractor Supply Trailer

Postby len19070 » Sat Dec 31, 2005 7:12 pm

I just got back from buying 2 frames from Tractor Supply in Quakertown Pa. a 150 mile trip, But well worth It.
Tractor Supply sells a Carry-On trailer 4X8 with no floor SKU #1000215. 1500lb GVW, 5 lug 4.5 center wheels, lights, wired, safety chains Assembled & ready to go for $279. AND it comes with a TITLE, not a certificate of origin.

Also while I was wandering the store I found Axels, spring kits, Lights, Wheels,Fenders and all kinds of good trailer stuff at average prices, and all in stock.

But I think the best "after the purchase" info I found out was that Carry-on Trailer through Tractor supply, will modify these trailers any way you like i.e. 60" wide not 48", 15" tires and fenders not 12", 9' long, move the axel... yady yady yada.

Needles to say, I was impressed.

BTW..NO I don't work there.

Happy Trails

& Happy New Year

WOW, that's good to know, Len. I do believe that I am going to locate the nearest Tractor Supply.

Thanks for the link Arne. Just found out there is one on the backside of the mountain from us. I may have to venture there next week.

Just went to tractor supply last week and bought one of those trailers myself. I read on a post somewhere on here that they were on sale. TS was ready to charge me 279 but looked it up on their computer it came up at 251 :) When leaving the store they said I should go to their notary for plates. I went to mine close to home. mistake! He would not do it he said they forgot all kinds of info. I went back to the store found out directions to their guy  no problem 10 minutes later plate in hand.
Good day every day!

Looks like I'm stuck with a 4x8.. I measured the area beside the house, and even thats gonna be tricky. My wife planted a snowball shrub along the fence and it looks like I'll have to run it over to get the trailer out of the back yard

I had the same experience with mine, In a matter of minuets, I HAD A TITLE. And in Pennsylvania to boot.

2 Pennsylvanians, Tractor Supply Trailers, No title problems, I must be Dreamin'.

Happy Trails

The TSC here in York told me that I could not order a custom size trailer through them. Guess I will have to go back and ask again!

Kerry, if you have good information to go on, usually you can work it out if you 'give them some guidance'...... you're dealing with a large information base here, and a limited base with store clerks. You may just have to show them the way, or it could be different depending on the stores, but eventually you can find that out, as well..... been through this quite often, but perserverance usually prevails.

Kerry:

When I began my journey to find a 5X8 modified trailer, I was told by one Tractor Supply Co employee that Carry-on would not build the trailer. I phoned the manufacturer direct and was told "No problem".

Went back to TSC and gave them the info. and contact person.at Carry On. Takes about four weeks to receive the order.

Larryl, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the 5X8 at TSC? They have the 5X8 in stock here in Chattanooga but they have the ramp and sides on them which costs more.
I started out with nothing and I still got plenty left.

Jim:

Don't mind at all. $457.00 plus tax. It was special ordered as a 5X8 no floor.
