Solstice Teardrop Gathering in the Far North

Postby alaska teardrop » Fri Jun 23, 2006 2:11 am

Well, the first Alaska teardrop gathering is on the books. The only hitch was between Jim & Mary Lu. :P Two days & nights of teardrop talk. Fine weather. Mary Lu's birthday. :new-bday: A climb up Ester Dome for a view of the top of the world on the longest day. Visit to the Musk Ox farm. Dinner at Ivory Jacks. Mid-Night Sun Festival with music by Gangly Moose.
Da pics 8) Jim will probably have a lot more.

Jim said that he'd be scouting the campgrounds along the Richardson Highway on their way to Valdez for a future gathering. :campfire:

Jackets for people who live in Alaska probably means a full on parka for me.

Can't wait until my girlfriend retires. We'd really like to take a month and come up to visit your part of the world.
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

    Chris,
Stop on by! It will be fun to meet you both.
When will she be retiring? Will it coinside with your finished teardrop? ;)
I'm still growing your birch and I found a nice double burl spruce in the woods the other day. :hammer:

Chris, you've got to get going. How many shots can you take? :BE
