Little Guy axle position

Postby Rush » Tue Mar 24, 2015 5:42 pm

I'm building a teardrop similar to the Little Guy 5- wide (8ft x 5ft) . My calculations show the distance of from the front of
the trailer frame to the centreline of the wheel to be approx. 62inches.
Can anyone confirm the axle location on a Little Guy ...... Thanks

I can't say about a Lil' Guy. But I built a 4x8' teardrop for my sister and have stayed in a Motel 6 once or twice. You're close. On the sis's little guy, the axle was at 61 or 62". You can see the side plan here:

No Little Guy specs., but 5/8 or .625 of 96" is 60" so you are right there in MHO.

I have always used 60% forward and 40% rear.. Body length = 96" x .6 = 57.6

if you like to tow fast (70 mph+) a 70 / 30 is even better 96" x .7 = 67.2
Growing older but not up !
