Thanks. That jeep was my first car when I was 16. Its been through many changes over the years. Your photo looks like it was taken in Yosemite? At least somewhere in the Sierras? It looks like Highway 41 near the tunnel going into Yosemite Valley to me....

I use to live in Yosemite Valley. My dad was a High Sierra back country guide working out of Camp 12 taking mule trains of tourists to the back side of Half Dome and back as well as other places. This was back in the 50s. I worked various jobs ranging from a cook in Camp Curry to trail crew etc. My brother still lives in Yosemite. He's been a full time resident for many years.
Olga and I go there often to visit with my brother and his wife and simply hang out. You can't ever get tired of Yosemite.

Well, I don't have a camper to pull yet, but since y'all are into Jeeps, I figured I'd show off my '82 CJ 7. I haven't had the pleasure of pulling up with my camper topless yet, but I've gone to my brother-in-law's trailer at the lake pulling my boat topless. Way cool!

Topless is topless! Nice rig. When are you going to start the TD?

Thanks, and I don't know. I'm still cruisin' through the designs here and elsewhere, trying to find the "perfect" rig for us, or at least the one that sparks my imagination. I've got some ideas, but nothing "just right" yet. Stay tuned!

Jeeps rule '' I plan to pull the TD I'm working on with my CJ.. It has a new 4.2 L with a 4 speed SM420 "Muncie" granny tranny from Novak conversions connected to a Dana 300 Transfer case..

Boy did this go off topic! But I do love talking JEEP. They say the 420 is a little hard with the 6 because of the gear spacing. I did my 73 with the 420 and loved it, but I also did the 350 with it. The adapters alone cost more than the JEEP was worth.

Couldn't resist. Jeeps are ok, but how come when ever I see one on the trail the driver won't return the wave? Same thing with Harley riders :x ...

Couple of good anti-jeep quotes from the inter-web...

I understand the Jeep thing, that’s why I drive a Suzuki

I got the Jeep thing, now it burns when I pee

Jeep Recovery Vehicle

Rubicon Recovery Vehicle

Silly boy, Jeeps are for girls

Just
Empty
Every
Pocket

Jeep pronounced in Spanish is HEAP

Jeep Trailer Rated, because you have to tow it there and back

Jeeps are for Cheerleaders

I could by a Jeep, but I could also cut off my leg and let it go gangrenous

Barbie Called, She wants her Jeep back

Did you steal that jeep from my mail carrier?

Jeeps are like tampons, every pu$$y has one

Jeep, it’s like winning the Special Olympics, win or lose you are still retarded.

What's the saying, "Don't hate the player, hate the game" :D

Hey

You ask: "How come when ever I see one on the trail the driver won't return the wave?"

If your in a Jeep.....He busy watching his line! 8)

But if your not

It's a Jeep thing....you wouldn't understand!

P.S. When you start with: Jeeps are ok
Did we really need to go any further? ROFL :?
Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.
