Earth Roamer Vehicle Ideas

Postby greekspeedoman » Thu Jul 17, 2008 10:37 am

Part of my inspiration for the Back-country tear build is Earth Roamer. They have modified a Jeep and a Ford for offroad use. There are some ideas here that I have adapted to fit my tear. If they are helpful to you, great. here is the site:

I just saw one of those on the road yesterday. It was the one based on the F-550 chassis, that thing was huge!

Nice but at $200,000+, I think I'll just keep my TearDrop. ;)

The Roamers are very nice and very expensive. I like the compact Jeep version, although still pricey. There is a company called FlipPac that makes a pickup shell with a fold open top like the Jeep version for ~$4300.

Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.

I think that if I was starting from scratch and building a mobile offroad living setup, I would start with http://www.journeytoforever.org/landrover2.html

However, since I only have my old Trooper diesel (otherwise known as the poor man's Landrover), I'll just make do LOL
