I like it around here. Easy to get away from people when you want to. And usually easy to see them coming from a long way away. But often those places in your picture call and I can get there in a few hours.

My first vehicle was a no door Jeep. A 1952 CJ3A. I got that when I was 13. A year before I got my drivers license. Drove it on the farm ( mostly ) doing farm stuff. The farm was generally 5 miles long and 2 miles wide with plenty of winding farm roads.

Yea Slow it has 85 more HP and a 5 speed transmission. I can't wait to tow the Teardrop with it. Don't think I will have any problems in the mountains with this one. I should be good to go to join all the others at the "Slow gets lassoed" wedding/teardrop gathering in 2014.
Don't forget to invite us all. Think of all the Coleman wedding presents!!!

Randy, I bet you wish you still had that old Jeep. Some day I want an old Willy's Carryall. Before I could legally drive a family friend had a resort in Northern Wisconsin. I use to get to drive the garbage to the dump. What a blast that was.

I would not mind having it again but my Suzukis are about as close as I want to get to the old jeep for today's daily driver. The new Jeeps just don't turn my crank. Probably mostly as I can not afford them. And I would need one with a door that goes all the way to the floor. I am past the years when I can step over a high door sill.

I had plenty of adventures in that old Jeep. In the spring of 1968 it was the first non motorcycle in the history of my High School to do a wheely.

A 2006 Tacoma and an AT Horizon trailer with rooftop tent. Having an offroad trailer really opens up a lot of country for a fellow. This picture was taken at the Kofa Wildlife Refuge.
