Sorry I didn't pay as much attention then as I do now although I am better with the Willy's and CJ rigs. I am one of those guys that thinks when they started putting square headlights in Jeeps they were a jeep in name only with very few exceptions I.E XJ

My dream truck is a mildly built 55 Willys pickup resto mod, I love the pointed grill and the pure classic look, put in a more modern drive-train (5.7HEMI, Dana 60's...), might not be a bad tow rig either :thinking:

Looks good, same spec as mine in those pics

Finished my front bar last week so now I have a nice winch on there as well.

Going away for 4 days on Friday so I'll have to get some pics with the TD and the campsite setup etc.

Armour.... that makes all the difference

Mine does have a dented in D pillar from dragging against a tree, lost a tailight then as well. I also have a couple in the doors but not too bad. The rockrails I made have saved it plenty of times.

Not sure what caused it but the spider gears blew up. Those pics are from the 89 XJ i used to have. the spiders in my 98 XJ did the same thing. Dana 30 spiders must not be very strong. I just heard some snapping from the front one day on a trail run on both of them. Went home and saw my spiders were totally junk and sheared off.... so i put an ARB in the front of the 98

Yeah, the D30s are notorious for being weak. Especially with larger tires and any kind of crawling or heavy duty use.

ARBs sound nice.
