But seriously folks...not much time in a jeep. I had a Cherokee Sport 2WD but it didn't go off road. This one, though not a jeep, was off road more than in was on it.

This is my 2000 4runner that I tow with. I have taken my TD onto some gnarly trails. I'm not sure if I'm towing it down some of the trails or draging it.

Here is a little video/slideshow from a trip to Moab Utah.

All three vehicles have changed alot since these pictures.
Thanksgiving we are heading back to Moab for more wheeling and camping.

wlivessey,

Look at this way, by driving a Toyota, you may actually prove to be the smartest one in the bunch! By the way, I do like the FJ Cruiser; I would like to see them redesigned slightly with better visability. :)

P.S. I like the Tacoma crew cab.

agreed. the visibility is poor, at best, but the feeling of driving and armored truck really kicks a**.

93, 4X4, 22RE, 5spd, mostly stock (for now) small and slow, but it gets me where I want to go.

I have had the debates with my friends
Full size guys; Should have bought a bigger diesel truck
Me; wanna follow me through the woods?
Full size guys now (especially when fuel was sky high); Wanna sell your truck
Me; :laughing1:

Jeep guys; Should have bought a Jeep
me; :SH
Jeep guys now; Can you haul this for me it wont fit in my rig (CJ*, wrangler, TJ)

I'll tow you :shake hands: you tow me and if it happens the only thing I'll charge is :pictures: :snappy:

Shameless Plug

Postby So-Cal Teardrops » Fri Jan 09, 2009 6:24 pm

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of my little Sammi in action, but here are some shots in the driveway.

By the way, I'm planning on going to the darkside. I know, I know all those comments about Barbies and Jeeps and now I'm getting a Jeep.

I need something bigger to haul the kids around in, and I've always dug on XJ's. So anyone want to trade

I haven't had an opportunity to tow off road yet, but I'm sure someday I'll try...

The XJ is a excellent rig, I grew up in the back of one, than learned to drive in the same one. It was an 88 with the HO 4.0L 5spd 4X4, Dad even got lucky and got a Dana 44 under the rear end from the factory! (most came with a 35 at that time) that engine went 350k + with barely regular oil changes. sold it to a friend of my brothers and he drove it for several thousand more miles before it was toast, the rest of the truck not the motor, the drive train all literally gave out at once.

So I may give you a bad time if we ever meet in person (TOYOTA), but they are an excellent choice for a family
