That trailer as it sits is probably well over 1000 lbs and is quite big. Not a good base for a teardrop in my opinion. You definitely wont be towing it home with either vehicle you mentioned...

I started off with a M101 trailer frame, swapped out the axle and tires, kept the suspension, added a boat trailer tongue. If the M101 had a bed to it, its empty weight is 1275#s. These were mostly towed behind the M37 (Dodge Powerwagon style) trucks. The M37 was considered 3/4ton truck for the military. The M101 is considered a 3/4ton trailer. Comes with 36" tall NDT tires on 16 split rims.

The M103 is a heavier frame, tongue, and axle setup. It carried generators. Its empty weight is closer to 1750#s and that is without a bed. It is considered a mod'd M101 and referred to as the gen-trailer.

Its bigger brother is the M105. It is a military monster trailer. Its a 1.5ton trailer and empty weight is 2375#s. Its tires are 40" tall on 20" split rims.

With that trailer in the pic, I highly doubt you will be able to lift the tongue off the ground by yourself.

Pass on it.

TRANSLATION: It's one heavy mutha lol.. They are perdy much good for construction or farm use only. My father in law uses one to tote around a 500 gal fuel cell for his farm equiptment. He tow's it out to the fuel depot with a F350 4wd Power Stroke.
