Dang! $44 bucks!
I can do $22, anyone wanna go halfsis?
Heck, $22 is over 10% of my build... add in taxes and I've blown my allowance.

Thanks all.
I really, really like this camper! It's so much more cozy than any other that I've had in the past. I haven't got a deer yet this year, but I'm more than content to retire to the "stumble Inn" in the evening.

My Krylon camo works out pretty good even in the dark.

The stove is nice! The oven is great! The insulated panels are WARM! (that may be an issue in the summer).

I now have a couple of buddies that want me to build them one, and one that just got interested in that Lil Guy sitting at camping world.

I just have to change/add a few things, which I can see from this board, is a common ongoing trend.

Remember insulation works both ways. The insulation that keeps the interior warm in the winter will keep the interior cooler in the summer.

Nice job!

Nice job! Thumbs Up

Yep it does from another insulated trailer builder! My trailer is painted Very Dark Gray ( almost black ) and I have camped in full sun in July - August - 100 deg f ).

;)

Converting to a resized and compressed JPG kinda messed with the shot.

What a great build. Is that a stacked washer and dryer in that galley? :R

Seriously, what fun your build is to watch. You are quite the craftsman, and it's inspiring. Rock on. :applause:

Stumble Inn/Update(?)

Postby Alfred » Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:20 pm

Hey EatatJoz,

How 'bout an update? You doin' any camping these days? Anymore tweaks to the designs? Costs up above $500 yet? I think the Stumble Inn is a great camper!

Not a lot of additions so far. I did add a tongue jack and some BF Goodrich 31's. The jack was 30 bucks, the tires were free.
I've just been enjoying the thing more than adding to it.

Last weekend we ended up in Mountain View, Ar for the bean fest and outhouse races. Good eats, (if you like beans and cornbread) and great music. We spent the next two days at the Buffalo River to relax from the crowds.
Next weekend is rifle season, so she'll be making another trip then.
I'll try to get a few pictures up and maybe a camp report or two.

Eat,

I'd like to see some more pics, too. Especially in camp.

The main thing I liked about your project is that you needed something and did it on a shoestring. Also liked how you crafted it out of unusual material. Not knocking the really refined/expensive work of others here, but I'd like to see more builds like yours.

I'm about to weld the frame on mine. Material-wise I have enough stuff to get up to the floor and have only outlayed $150 so far. Used/refurbed axle. Steel frame is a hodgepodge steel discarded at work. Floor will be discarded concrete form (exterior) plywood from a construction site. :)

I don't really have many pics of it in camp. I usually just go to the most primitive place I can find. That said, here are a few pics, but I'll try to take more starting Friday.
