Lurking for 2 years

Postby Volvord » Tue Sep 25, 2007 8:14 am

I just checked the membership list and was shocked that it was 2 years ago that I found this great forum and joined.

Over this time I have read threads, researched ideas, and I have finally gained the knowledge, the plan and the courage to start on my project.

The plan is to build a 10'x4'+ Grunman. Most of my reading and planning has been focused on making the unit as light as possible, but still be very comfortable and practical.

Over our COLD winter I plan on prebuilding the foam core walls, floor, bulkhead and cabinet frames, then in the spring assemble all the bits :worship:

Thanks to everyone who has posted all the excellent solutions, ideas and wisdom that has got me so energized to build this darn thing ... I think it is an addiction

Hi Volvord,

I would tell you welcome, but you have been here longer than I have, so, welcome back.

Glad to see that you are still interested after two years, but where did you go? I thought this was an addiction.

See you around.

Thanks all.
I think I have a good excuse for taking so long, I have been busy building my tow vehicle, which I actually tour around to car shows throughout NW US and western Canada. This is why I need a TD, a cool addition to the car and someplace reasonable to stay.

...also over the past 2 years I have been collecting parts including: axle, wheels & tires, electrical bits, handles, counter ... Now I have to build it to use all these cool parts.

My car for those interested

Great looking hauler, very original. Can't wait to see the matching teardrop. Welcome back, remember, with a car made in Sweden, you can't go wrong.
