Hi ya all, I don't have a TD as of yet, plan to start building this winter.

Bought a Shopbot CNC router earlier this year and found the Td's when looking for a big project to use it for. Now its consuming a LOT of my time (reading about, planning for, shopping for parts).

I am soon to be the owner of a 1948 Chevy pick-up project truck and plan for the TD to match the truck. The TD will probably be worn out before the truck get finished.

Welcome "Signs"...
I'm envious of your CNC router... Man, I want one of those! As for matching your truck... That's a great idea. Some folks go to great lengths to do just that...

Looks like you have a handle on the cutting parts part of the problem. :)
Depending on what type or shape then size you might be able to download the plans and convert the shape files to the CNC router.
There are a few that have had plasma cutters used to cut major parts of their trailers out. That will make things more precise and faster layup and fit peices together.
Frame has to be square and level then everything will work great. Just get the details worked out.
Ask lots of questions and take lots of pictures. ;)

Hey Signs,
Well another Okie. We should all get together and start a club or something. Maybe a Oklahoma chapter of TearJerkers? Just a thought.
