Big DE-

Welcome!

My C'tear is 5' high x 6' w x 10' long, check out my gallery pics.

A little care with the shape is all that is needed to keep it looking proportinal.

Take your time, look around and build what you like!

Cheers,

Coop

Big DE
I think the best Tear is the one you design to fit your needs and have found that it is often easier to work in cardboard pior to cutting wood.
Excited about starting I cut and put together my design and after some reflection on the process ended up taking it apart and beginning again.
Think a lot about what you want.

I appreciate all the support, my wife and I are gonna try and salvage some of the crank windows and demo the rest. The axle on it is pretty old it has a wide 4 bolt pattern so I will replace it with a drop axle with electric brakes. We are thinking about a new Kampmaster with a different galley configuration. We are planning on coming to the oct. get together but we wont be camping I look forward to meeting everyone and getting lots of ideas.

Thanks in advance for all the advice

Donnie You'll get to see alot of tears if you come to the gathering. Just a reminder they do have cabins too.

Steve, I was going to suggest that...it is a long drive up for a day visit...hanging around at night to eat and then a drive back...and you might wanna sample some of TonyJ's margueritas...you could get a motel room back towards Bossier City or get a cabin at the Lake...they go for 70 bucks a night, about the same as a really nice motel room...and then you wouldn't haveta leave early or worry about the 'ritas :D ;)

Welcome Donnie,
We put the matress on the floor and sat my husband on it. Had him lean forward to get up and decided our height based on that.

We are 5' high, 6'wide and 10 long. After seeing others, it seems big but we like it.

Enjoy: We are having a camping at Grand Lake OK on the 15th. Bernice State park. Would love to meet you and your wife.

Check some of the casinos. They usually give deals to lure you in to spend more money. On the way back from IRG we stayed at the Flamingo Hilton in Laughlin, NV. It was like $32, much cheaper than a campground or a Motel 6.
