Checking in from Mid Missouri

Postby Bender » Sat Nov 18, 2006 1:24 pm

I'm brand new to this teardrop stuff. Bought an incomplete modernistic trailer on ebay and am looking for information to finish it out. Right now I have a "birdcage" frame on wheels. What concerns me most is being able to find doors. Does anyone make doors ready made for these things?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Bender.

Bender,

You've come to the right place. But we need some more information from you first...

We need to see photos of your birdcage trailer.

As for the door, it's easy to build a door that'll work. Once we see the opening, we can make some suggestions.

Mike...

Welcome Bender,
Bird cage is good. You don't have to figure out how to do the framing. 8)
The doors can't be all that hard. They shouldn't even have shape till you make the sides. :applause: ;)

I'll get some pics up soon, right now the trailer is at the welders recovering from the ride home and the idiot that built it. 14 broken welds, 3 pieces fell completely off in 875 miles. The welder was obviously blind and incapable of welding too.

40 bucks and it will be better than new.
Bender.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a decent start anyway.
Where are you located at?

So is that in the states somewhere?

Question for you. Is that the type of answers you want us to give you? You know after asking a question and we give you an answer. You then scratch your head and ask yourself. What he say?

In other words, Where the heck is Sedalia or Knob Noster?

I also didn't know that the modernistic trailer came with a "birdcage" type frame. And here I thought I knew teardrops. Again, I've learned something new.

Welcome Bender to the Forum. As you see there are several of us in your area. I hope you can do those repairs and get doors and walls on the frame.

Bender,
Welcome to the forum. There was a small gathering around Knob Noster earlier this year. We try and get together when we can, it's always a lot of fun.

Well Scott just happens to live in Missouri, I don't. But I do know where Springfield or St. Lous, even St. Jo (St. Joseph) is located.
