I wish I knew about this forum a few weeks ago when I first started my project. Anyway all the information is great and I know it will come in really handy as i finish my project.

Here is a picture of my project and some of the mistakes I have made. the trailer is almost 6ft wide and i didnt know they made aluminum sheets that wide so I simply overlapped the sheets and used molding. not the most attractive but i think it should keep the water out.

So with your wheels outside the body, is your trailer really 8' wide?

Robert,

Welcome, take the ribbing as a gesture that you are accepted here. Nice looking Wide Body! I hope you have mirrors wide enough to see around it

I would just like to know what kind of camp grounds he plans on towing an 8 foot wide (includes fenders) trailer into. Even your super large motorhomes arn't 8' wide. And they can't get into all the campgrounds that a teardrop can. And I'm sorry, I don't see any ribbing. Yet.

Can you drive through a Burger King drive-thru at that width?

Even one with no turns!?

Sorry for the delayed response, I have been really busy building. Thanks for all the comments and yes I know my Trailer is a little on the wide side but I decided to build another one just to make sure I can go through a burger king on the way to a width restricted camp site

here is a pic of my progress

Actually I am just having a really good time building them and decided to build another as a Christmas gift for my sister. Thanks again for all the comments.

Hi Robert,
I'm curious. How about some more pictures? I planing on starting mine in the spring. I'd like to see how much room that wide body gives you inside.
