Hello all
Hoosier Td hopeful from from around Indy
Bought Kuffel Creek a year or two ago, but had to hold off for various reasons (son was in Iraq and couldn't concentrate). I am considering a 5x10 using existing cargo trailer. It is 5x8 with torsion axle, but should be able to modify. Is there a thread discussing the flow of the project, ie. the TD size is decided by what size bed you want to use, which is decided by how big you are and how many people to sleep, and how much gear and weight you want? Just want to keep the re-do's down to a minumim.
Thanks
Dan Sutton :worship:

Welcome aboard Dan...just an idea...mark out the dimensions of what you think you want for a tear on the garage floor. Put in some of your camping gear and lay down in the rest of the space...Add your wife/dogs and whatever else. Adjust as necessary. Just don't cut yourself short on space or you're going to be building #2, but that's not such a bad thing...I'm on #3! Doug

Welcome Dan,

The Generic Benroy is a good place to start. Then I would move to the Hall of Fame and check out the build sites. Then the rest of the story

As you change your mind everything will become clearer. 8) ;)

Enjoy

Mockup

Postby S10CHEVY » Mon Dec 25, 2006 5:47 pm

Get cardboard from appliance dealers, and use to make a mock up. This seems to work well for some here, and would probably help to cut down on changes later. Making a list of what it needs to do for you will help also.

Yeh
It will really help give me a deadline to get the conversion done by. Otherwise I might get too distracted :worship:

As you can see in one of the pics, I have a mattress in the cabin already. Wife says she wanted to use the full size pillow top we bought for spare bedroom, and since it won't go thru side door, I had to put it in before installing cabinets in galley and cabin. It takes up all available floor space. I guess it is there for good!
